Moving Tips

As a company we value very much your custom and we try very hard to move your load quickly and safe.

All our vans are equipped with straps and blankets to secure your load during transit.

In order to minimise the risk of damaging the goods we always ask the customer to speak with us in detail about the load. The more we know about the load the better we can make arrangements to protect it.

If your load gets damaged please speak with us and our GIT insurance will sort things out.

Boxes and lose items

Packing the boxes tight and seal them with tape will diminish greatly the chance of getting any damage.

Would be great if you can group all lose items either by tape or boxing.

At the booking point please advise the dimensions of the box/boxes as well as weight. Failing to do that may incur extra handball and delay the delivery time.

Please don't pack boxes over 20kg in weight, it makes loading and unloading difficult and the driver might refuse the booking

Goods on a Pallet

Please don't pack bulky pallets as may reduce the room in the van

Also please don't pack heavy pallets. If you have 1000kg of goods to be palletised please make at least 2 pallets, 3 would be ideal.

Packing 1 pallet of 1000kg is illegal to transport in a 3.5T van, because the van will be overweight on the front or back axle.

The weight distribution should be 60/40 in a 3.5T van

This rule is not negotiable and the job will be cancelled at colection

Collection and Delivery

@ the collection, the goods will be visually inspected for damage, pictures will be taken of the goods in the Van.

@the delivery a full POD will be taken, this includes pictures of the goods unloaded and full name of the person who received the goods, date and time.

Complaints and Damages

We always try to do our best and never have any complaints or damages, but when this happens pease do get in touch with us either by email or phone and we will resolve any issues amiable.

Damages are rare, but when this happens we are covered up to £100.000 by our GIT policy.
